Hey, Kyle! I had a chance to go through the site. Here is what I came up with. I hope you find this valuable.

Start Proposal Review
Goals & objectives

Develop a dynamic site that is SEO focused, has easy access to update content for blogs with a user friendly back-end, is automated, and includes a seamless payment integration.

Key Components of the Build

General Summary

  • CMS (Content Management System) For Products - We want to have more control of pricing, pictures, discounts, customer accounts, etc. without the need of web knowledge.
  • CMS For Resources - Have control over content, blogs, accounts, and more all within one back-end.
  • Scheduling & Lead Automation - If a customer submits information (subscribing to a newsletter or giving you their email for a first time coupon) you want that data will go through to some CRM or spreadsheet. This is usually considered a micro-conversion (more below).
  • In-Browser Editing - This means you or your family will be able to edit text, content, dates, and more directly from their browser to publish changes in real-time.
  • SEO Focused - You want to build the website after detailed keyword research. This will show you some big keywords others are banking on. Do you want to target las vegas? soaps? natural soaps? You want to know what your targeting before building a site in order to incorporate your heavy hitting keywords.

Home Page Category Breakdown

  • We can improve the user experience by showcasing top selling/featured products and content on the home page. We can use a content management system in order to easily add, take down, and edit products.
  • Featured items on the home page is useful for representing the most offerings first. This could be because of high demand, over-harvest, etc.. With that said, you want a system that can change these featured items out on the fly. Keeping it dynamic.

SEO Strategy Overview

  • I can ran you some reports of competitors keywords. That's on the house. Just let me know what URLs you'd like me to run.
  • Featured snippets is something to look into for "research" keywords. This may be a good way to push content on organic foods, farming, etc.
  • Meta tags & titles can be more geared toward heavy hitting keywords.
  • H1's should have valuable keywords in them as well.

Content Marketing

  • I see blogging has been started. We can continue using a multi-media strategy. We can do video, podcasting, traditional blogging, etc. All of these can be efficient, it depends on what you and your family enjoy. I will say, blogging not just builds trust, but it also helps SEO (the actual HTML text in a blog is more beneficial than video, audio, PDFs, etc.) . YouTube is also owned by Google which will help SEO. Using a content management system you can quickly develop several types of content, and can even hire a content creator to easily update the site without needing any web knowledge.
  • There are automation tools and resources to help launch many of these strategies in a cost-effective and efficient way.

Mobile Friendliness and Responsiveness

  • I noticed that many of the images are used for both desktop and mobile. I'd recommend making some adjustments to the mobile version.
  • Keep a menu, filter, primary CTA, or something similar in a floating position.
  • The mobile experience can use some TLC

Micro-Conversion

  • Micro-conversions are helpful for future email campaigns and re-targeting campaigns. I noticed there aren't any micro-conversions on the site.
  • We can offer a 1st time coupon, resource, exclusive content, blog subscriptions, etc. in exchange for an email. We can automate this low-involvement conversion to push potential clients further down the funnel.

Visual Hierarchy & Branding

  • I see there is some what of a brand coming together, but I would recommend a few things that could strengthen it.
  • In general, we would want more consistency and alignment. This can be done through a digital branding guide.
  • Headers, subheaders, paragraphs, etc. should be the same font, size style, etc.
  • This may not seem like a big deal to some, but it can really throw a user's experience off and even impact the trust of the visitor.
Part II - The Solution
The Solution

I recommend building out a back-end for you and your family to easily be able to update the site (prices, develop coupons, build content, account notes, etc.) and developing an automation strategy for growth. Once the site is built you shouldn't have a hard time dynamically updating it.

Content Management Systems (CMS)

CMS (Content Management Systems) are typically used for enterprise content management and web content management for e-commerce websites. You can use a CMS to populate pages for product listing pages, categories, resources, staff pages, menus, and more. All CMS systems will have a custom back-end, meaning editors can edit without web knowledge. The CMS system will enable you to control, add, edit, and delete what is displayed on the site. If they want to build content (e.g. blogging) we can use a database for this as well (no extra development costs). The ability to quickly build content will help you naturally build relative keywords for SEO goals.

Tracking For Strong Analytics To Improve ROI

Site Development Includes the Following Integrations

Google Tag Manager, Analytics, & Social Pixels- Snippets of code to track valuable user data. This snippet of JavaScript collects demographics, performance data for your websites and ads, and other actionable data. This enables you to get extremely granular in determining the effectiveness of your digital strategy.

Full Story - Full Story is a tag that enabales Google Tag Manager to capture visitors interactions with your website (Video Recording).

Shipping Tracking & Integration -You want to build out a shopping carts to include all shopping, accounts, and shipping activity.

Automation For Scalability & Growth

Site Development Includes the Following Automation

Inquiry - I recommend using a CRM (e.g. HubSpot) , but we can also build an integration that is compatible with a spreadsheet. You would not have to touch leads that are generated from the websites unless you wanted to.

CRM - Automate the process of getting leads from the website into your Customer Relationship Management System (e.g. HubSpot CRM).

Marketing - Email & SMS Automation. You are able to automate marketing efforts such as sending a welcome email to new subscribers, sending out a first time buyer coupon, or even an automated birthday email.

Operational - Automating confirmation emails, tracking numbers, requests for review.
