Hey, Charlene! After our call yesterday I recommend building a site that is able to collect leads through Calendly. We will build the site to be able to add on additional marketing components such as a blog/resource center.

Goals & objectives

The primary purpose of the site is to gain leads through calendly. We can do this by having a simple CMS for content, a capturing home page for xennials (women), and an about/contact page.

Key Components of the Build
  • Lead Generation - We will have a viewer submit information (e.g. email) and that data will go through to an email of your choosing. This will be used to capture newsletter submissions and leads that aren't using the direct calendly
  • Back-end System (Tech term is "CMS") With Collections For Content- We want to have control of content through the use of a database rather than making a static site. This will enable you to swap out information, images, etc. without needing to pay me (or another developer) to continually make pages.
  • Animations – We will use subtle animations for attention grabbers. Animations are used to guide a user’s eyes to a certain part of the screen. We can implement animations to be able to predict the users journey. The layout will just use animation as a way to encourage certain behavior, such as a calendly appointment.
  • SEO Focused - We will build the website after some keyword research (We use a tool called SEMrush). In short, the goal is to analyze what people are searching for in the industry, and then capitalize on those terms through out the site in content, meta descriptions, title tags, etc. We have to put thought into what words will target women of color that are looking to advance their careers, but I did attach some SEO reports on websites that are providing a similar service (they are not niched out though)
Part II - The Solution
The Solution

Developing a website that has lead generating capabilities/conversion page. The primary call to action will be for a free evaluation/complementary consultation/discover call/etc. A secondary, or micro-conversion will be lead data through the contact page and subscribing through resources/newsletters that will provide valuable content (e.g. "10 ways to negotiate with your boss")

Content Management Systems (CMS)

CMS (Which stands for Content Management System) is typically used for enterprise content management and web content management for media and e-commerce websites. We can use the concept of a simple CMS for career coaching resources. The CMS will have a custom back-end, meaning you can edit without web knowledge. I know you said you are just getting started, so the CMS will enable you to add, edit, and delete posts on the site without needing a web developer (at least for quickly scaling content for something like blogs).

Tracking For Strong Analytics To Improve ROI

Site Development Includes the Following Integrations

Google Tag Manager, Analytics, & Social Pixels- Snippets of code to track valuable user data. This snippet of JavaScript collects demographics, performance data for our website and ads, and other actionable data.

Full Story - Full Story is a tag that enables Google Tag Manager to capture visitors interactions with our website (Video Recording).

Automation For Scalability & Growth

We will have the ability to send leads to a CRM or spreadsheet. This is something MD can help set up, or provide resources on how to do so. I recommend using a customer relationship management system (e.g. HubSpot), but we can also build an integration that is compatible with a spreadsheet. Once they are in our CRM you can streamline communications with an endless amount of automation tools. This may not be too critical as you get started, but as leads grow you'll want a site that can adapt around automation and CRMs.
